Why am I doing this again?

The preparation time is starting to slip away and some days I ask myself why I am doing it again. Guess the walking becomes a little addictive, a little " I want to do it , I must do it, I can do it". Then I walk a few days back to back and I wonder where this silly idea came from and as I try to unstiffen over the next few days I start to wonder again "why am I doing it". Around and around in circles I go.

I decided to walk a 2 day back to back in the local area, guess it is still too hot but I did it and walked 60klms to train. Discovered that as I have not walked for several months that perhaps I took on the training too quickly, at least the distance was perhaps a little longer than I had expected. A good walk, great photos but a a very sore and stiff body at the end of the weekend.

I have ordered and collected my walking shirts and they are BRIGHT so hopefully no one will miss me if I have to walk on the roadside. Will try them out a few times over the next few weeks so if you see me do not forget to honk the horn.

Next item to be looked at and a couple that were not planned but guess important. My Tom-Tom watch decided to go no further so back to the shop where I purchased it from a few years back and "Oh no madam we do not stock that brand." I politely told him that they did stock them and he looked at me as if I was from another planet. He told me I would have to go elsewhere so this is what I did. I still could not get my favourite brand so had to close my eyes and buy another brand which appears to be telling me
and recording what I need to know. Only time will tell.

Now the mobile phone is having a little hissy fit, does not like to swim in the water. I really do not want to deal with the phone companies but again must bite the bullet and go and see them.

I have travel insurance, I have started to book the beds and my flights are all organised. Now I just hope that this flu "thing" decides to go away before I leave. I spend my time when in public dosing my hands in liquid and hoping no one is going to sneeze close to me. Guess only time will tell.

The Summer in Australia is over and Autumn is here, I am told the days will get cooler so all I can say is bring them on and the training will start in earnest. Just no more big surprises before I go.
